​“When I joined Body Blueprint in January 2024, it had been almost 20 years since I stepped foot in a gym. I didn’t know if I was up to the challenge, but I knew something had to change as I had been battling obesity and depression off and on since graduate school. My therapist encouraged me to add physical activity to my hectic, stressful life as an administrator in high education. She recommended Body Blueprint and assured me that I would get the support and encouragement that I needed there. She couldn’t have been more right!

From my first meeting with Christie to the knowledgeable trainers to the individuals in the small group classes, I found exactly what I needed – accountability, motivation, encouragement and commitment. While I’m proud that I’ve seen substantial weight loss and increased strength, I’m most proud of how I feel. My mood and energy levels have never been better. It’s been hard but rewarding work. I’ve encountered setbacks but have been able to bounce back quickly with the Body Blueprint team and the friends I’ve made in class. Meet Kim!

  • "For most of my life, I’ve been committed to working out at the gym. I’ve used personal trainers, but I’ve also spent a lot of time training on my own. Along the way, I’ve suffered a number of injuries, particularly to my feet, ankles, and neck. By the time I reached my mid-forties, I found myself gaining weight and not feeling my best, despite believing I was doing everything right with my workouts and diet. I realized I needed some help and a new approach to get back on track. 

    That’s when I came across Christie’s social media posts about Body Blueprint, offering support specifically for perimenopausal and menopausal women, along with nutrition guidance and small group workouts. I had known Christie for years and trusted her, so in February 2024, I decided to reach out for help with my fitness, nutrition, and overall hormonal health. 

    Given my complex medical history, I wasn’t sure if she would take me on, but Christie accepted the challenge immediately. Together, we set clear goals: to lose the excess weight I was carrying and to build strength and muscle. I started the small group sessions feeling nervous and anxious, but everyone was incredibly welcoming, and the trainers were exceptional—especially in knowing how to modify exercises to accommodate my needs. 

    Less than a year later, I’m happy to say that I’ve lost the weight I wanted to shed. I followed Christie’s nutrition and exercise program, as well as addressing my perimenopausal hormones, and I’m feeling great. I have more energy throughout the day, my diet has improved dramatically, and I’ve lost inches along with the extra weight and body fat. I’ve also made new friends in the small group training, and their support keeps me motivated and makes the workouts enjoyable.

I joined Body Blueprint in May, and five months later I am down 18 pounds, getting stronger, and feeling great!! The format of showing up to a preset workout, and having a myriad of exercises to keep things moving and NOT monotonous, are a big reasons I love BBP and what keeps me coming back.

 

Lastly, the trainers are the best around. They are so knowledgeable and explain/demo each exercise, keep us motivated, are SO friendly and approachable, and at the same time are realistic to each person’s needs. If you need to modify for any reason, they know exactly what to do to make it more comfortable for you.

We moved to Clarks Summit where I found BBP. I have been a regular here since April 2022, 5 to 6 days a week. BBP has been huge part of my transformation. The staff's encouragement every day helped my battered body push a little further.

 

I've gone from 41% BMI to 30%, losing 40 lbs! I dropped FOUR clothing sizes, gained muscle and most of all confidence! I love coming here every day and have recently added private training sessions.

I joined BBP right before my 60th birthday. I was retired and had been helping out with the grandkids but I knew I had to do something before I got too sedentary. I had exercised off and on over the years. Tried running and the local gym but was not consistent.

Three years later at 63, I am down 15 lbs. I have lost a lot of inches and reshaped my body with the help and guidance of the amazing trainers and workout friends at BBP.!

I feel better now than I did in my 40s!

Becoming a part of the BBP family was the best thing I have ever done for myself!! I can't imagine my life without them now!

Like most parents now, most of my days are filled with work and running my daughter to softball practice and games. One weekend, I ran into my friend Judy Thiel and she started telling me about Body BluePrint. I couldn’t believe how great she looked!

 

I joined BBP on 8/3 and since then have lost 17lbs. The weight loss is honestly not even the best part of BBP. It’s the ENERGY!  I have more energy now than I ever had before and the muscle tone I never thought I would have. Most importantly, I cannot stress how much BBP has changed my life both mentally and physically.
